The log cabin festive market in Jubilee Square, High Street, Maidstone runs from Friday 29 November until Sunday 15 Dec and is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday’s 10am to 4pm. The majority of the stalls will change after the first week, giving shoppers more reasons to visit again.

With stalls selling local cider and vodka, quirky novelty hats and gloves, leather goods, pocket money toys and many more, there should be plenty of ideas for that perfect present.

Maidstone Museum will also be holding Christmas Markets on Saturday 7 and 14 December from 10am to 3.30pm. There you can browse a range of stalls selling tasty local produce and beautiful handmade gifts.

Father Christmas will also be dropping in to his candlelit library at Maidstone Museum, on 7, 14, 19, 20 and 21 December from 10.30am. The cosiest Father Christmas visit in town will give children the chance to leave a wish with him and receive a present.

Booking is essential; cost is £8 per ticket and families are advised to book consecutive slots for more than one child. Maidstone Rotary Club are working with the Museum and their profits will go to local charities of their choice.
