The elected Member of Parliament for Maidstone and the Weald has been named as Helen Grant the Conservative Party Candidate who received a total of 31,220 votes.

The elected Member of Parliament for Maidstone and the Weald has been named as Helen Grant the Conservative Party Candidate who received a total of 31,220 votes.

The result was announced at the General Election Count held at the Clive Emson Exhibition Centre, Detling, Maidstone at 03.50 am today Friday 13 December 2019.

68% of the electorate turned-out to vote across the constituency where Helen Grant won the seat as MP for the area.

The candidates who stood for MP to represent the constituency of Maidstone and the Weald in Kent and the total number of votes they received at the polls were:

  • Helen Grant – The Conservative Party Candidate – 31,220
  • Stuart Robert Jeffery – Green Party – 2,172
  • Yolande Ann Kenward – Independent - 358
  • Daniel Robert Wilkinson – Labour Party – 9,448
  • James Martin Willis – Liberal Democrats – 8,482
