In addition to their regular duties, MBC’s Street Cleansing team will be taking part in the first targeted cleansing event in Maidstone and is part of a scheme which is due to be expanded to cover other key areas across the borough. Works will include graffiti and gum removal, pigeon spike installation, repainting of street furniture and installing LED lights in alley ways.

“Working in partnership with One Maidstone BID will prove a great opportunity to improve the visitors experience to the County Town. As part of the partnership we will provide regular deep cleans that will enhance the overall vision impact of the town centre and will exceed the current high cleansing standard we already have in place.”
The team will be working together to improve the look and smell of this busy area of the county town on Wednesday 5 June and will be focusing on Bank Street from Buenos Aires Restaurant in lower High Street up to The Brenchley public house. The work will include:
