As part of our ongoing commitment to invest in housing solutions for the borough, Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) have started to release 14 refurbished new apartments in the town centre.

Lenworth House, the first development to be completed under MBC’s Housing Development and Investment Plan, provides a mix of one, two and three-bedroom private rentals offering high quality housing.

William Cornall, Director of Regeneration and Place at MBC, said: “Lenworth House was a key priority for the Council, as it signals a statement of intent in respect of continuing to grow its market rented portfolio within Maidstone Property Holdings, and create new sources of income to support core services.

“The regeneration of Lenworth House is not just about growing our housing stock, it’s about place-making and enhancing the town centre for the local community.”

Work on the refurbishment started in July 2017, and includes eight flats within the converted existing building and following the construction of a 3-storey block to the rear of the existing building provides a further six flats.

Tracy Cardy, Residential Manager at Sibley Pares, said: “Sibley Pares are very proud to have been selected as the Marketing and Managing agent to partner with Maidstone Borough Council on this project.  The finished apartments are in a great location and will provide much needed homes for the borough of Maidstone.”
