Maidstone Borough Council (MBC), is planting 633 trees to commemorate the number of people who died across the Maidstone borough because of Covid as part of the national Day of Reflection, as a memorial to the people who lost their lives and anyone impacted as a result Covid-19.
The Community Larders in Maidstone were established by Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) in 2022 with grants from the West Kent Health and Care Partnership. As this funding is no longer available, the Council is supporting ‘The Bread and Butter Thing’ (Bread and Butter) to deliver a sustainable offer that continues to tackle food inequalities in the borough.
Maidstone’s Heart of Kent Walking Festival is back again this year, taking place between Friday 21 to Sunday 30 March. Spaces are still available to book on some of the walks taking place during the festival.
Maidstone’s Lockmeadow vibrant food scene is set to welcome an exciting addition with the launch of Perfect Pulled Pork at the end of February. Headed by twin brothers Royston and Kingsley Starling, the new food outlet promises to further elevate the street food experience in Maidstone.
