News Letter to Secretary of State about increased housing numbers

Maidstone Borough Council has written to Rt. Hon Robert Jenrick MP, The Secretary of State for Housing Communities and Local Government, expressing concern about the increased housing numbers that the Council will need to accommodate within its Local Plan Review.

The letter has been signed by the leader of each of the Council’s political parties and Helen Grant MP. It formally expresses concerns around the government’s methodology for setting housing targets for each Council and it also raises four specific ‘asks’ for the Secretary of State to consider.
