Through the partnership the Council has worked with its stakeholders to provide the homes for affordable rent, private rental, shared ownership and private purchase on the town centre site.
The development includes:
The new homes are conveniently located on a site in the centre of Maidstone,
placing residents within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, nightlife and employment opportunities in the County Town.
This ambitious redevelopment project has helped transform the local area by creating a portfolio of high-quality new homes available to communities within the borough. The new homes provide a modern, contemporary finish and offers enough space for couples and families to move into and feel at home straight away.
As well as providing new homes, the redevelopment will contribute to the long-awaited improvement of Brunswick Street and help create a better neighbourhood for existing and future residents.
Councillor Derek Mortimer, Chairman of the Communities, Housing and Environment Committee, added:
“I am delighted to see the Brunswick Street Development come to life in the centre of the town. These new properties will help provide much needed quality and affordable homes for the people of Maidstone.“I hope this partnership between Maidstone Borough Council, mhs and Purelake will continue and be as successful in the future as an ongoing and productive relationship.”
