A first-of-its-kind virtual receptionist developed in partnership with the Maidstone Innovation Centre (MIC) is set to make its worldwide debut when the building opens in September.

Offering a unique, entirely touch-free experience, the software takes pandemic-proofing to the next level. As well as providing a hygiene-friendly alternative it could help free up staff to spend more time with clients and customers than on routine tasks. Able to perform front of house services with some extra special touches, full details of the interactive virtual receptionist’s functions and capabilities are strictly under wraps prior to the launch date.

The innovative tech is an exciting addition to the MIC, which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020. The state-of-the-art building provides flexible office space, facilities and business support for firms in the life science, healthcare and medical sectors.

Developed by Maidstone software company, Snapwire, private demonstrations under strict NDA conditions will also be available from June to other businesses interested in taking up the tech.  Demand is expected to be high as businesses across the globe begin to rethink their premises and staffing arrangements post-Covid.

Maidstone Borough Council Leader – Cllr David Burton, comments:

“The Innovation Centre project is about attracting cutting edge MedTech employers to Maidstone.  We want them to come to Maidstone, invest here and for our residents to be able to reap the benefit of the jobs that they will bring.  Having the best technology, most efficient systems and latest ways of working is part of the package. Maidstone is open for business.’’

Kenneth Cox, founder of Snapwire adds:

“We’re honoured to be working closely with the Maidstone Innovation Centre on this exciting new technology. The software has been developed to provide automated front of house services with public health at the forefront of our considerations.”
