The Mote Park Outdoor Adventure is set to reopen this Thursday 1 April with restrictions in place so that families can enjoy safely across the Easter holidays.

Working with Maidstone Borough Council, Serco has introduced Covid-19 secure guidance and is asking all visitors to keep to the rules to ensure everyone can use the facilities in a safe way.

The popular two tier 16ft and 32ft Sky Trail, Climbing Wall, Segways and Mini Dino Golf will all be open and available to use with restrictions in place across all the activities.  People are being welcomed back and are being asked to make sure they book their tickets online to avoid disappointment, help manage numbers and reminded to adhere to social distancing rules in all areas.

Floor markings, hand sanitiser, plastic screening in the reception area and a clearly marked one way system have been introduced along with everyone being asked to wear a face covering.

Maidstone Borough Council’s Leisure Manager, Mike Evans said:

“MBC is delighted to see Mote Park Outdoor Adventure reopening this week so that families can make the most of the fabulous facilities over the Easter break.

“We want to reassure everyone that a lot of planning has gone in to making sure that it is Covid-secure and safe for them to visit, but we would ask that when visitors come to the park that they please take every step to follow the guidance and the safety measures that have been introduced.”

To help manage numbers and to avoid disappointment, visitors are being asked to book tickets online before arriving at the park, and only household at a time will be admitted.

Serco’s John Blackman added:

“My team and I are raring to go! We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, preparing for reopening, which includes getting all of our equipment checked and the team are refreshed on all their training. All the hard work will be paid off when we welcome our visitors and they have a great day out with us.

“We are also accredited as ‘Good to go’ by Visit England, the official UK mark to signal we follow Government and industry Covid-19 guidelines to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.”

Food and drink will be available to be purchased at the Outdoor Adventure park but tables and benches are currently out of use.
