Come and visit Maidstone Museum as it reopens to a fascinating ‘Stegosaurus Uncovered’ exhibition and discover the mysteries around this giant dinosaur.

Running from Wednesday 19 May until Saturday 19 June this thrilling exhibition gives an insight into the life of Stegosaurus, as scientists have only recently unlocked some of the dinosaur’s secrets.

Visitors will come face-to-face with a complete life-size Stegosaurus skeleton and find the answers to some of the mysteries of its diet, intelligence, and anatomy. As part of the exhibition there will be displays of the other dinosaurs that lived with Stegosaurus and the opportunity to find out why it needed defensive spikes and who ate whom!

Evelyn Palmer, Public Programming Manager at Maidstone Museum said:

“We are really looking forward to opening up the Museum again and welcoming visitors of all ages back.

“Stegosaurusis one of the most iconic and recognisable dinosaurs, but until recently was one of the least understood. The first Stegosaurus fossils were found 175 years ago, so the fact that only recently scientists have discovered some of this dinosaur’s secrets makes this exhibition a perfect one to kick off with.”

Tickets to the exhibition are available to buy online on the Maidstone Museum website or at the Museum: Adult £4, Child £2, Family £10 (1 or 2 adults & up to 3 children), Under 5’s FREE, 25% discount for Maidstone Museum Foundation (MMF) Members.
