There are only two weeks left to complete the Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) Resident Survey so have your say now before it is too late.

The survey is open to everyone aged 18 and over and closes on 4 September. MBC is really keen to get as many responses as possible in order to make informed decisions in the future.

Every resident who completes the survey can enter into a prize draw to be in with a chance of winning a variety of prizes including:

*        £250 shopping voucher

*        A night of escapism at ODEON Luxe Cinema and delicious meal at Love Food @ Lockmeadow

*        A thrilling family day out at Mote Park Outdoor Adventure

*        A fun day out for all the family at Kent Life

Everyone who enters the prize draw is also eligible for a seven day gym pass at Maidstone Leisure Centre, to participate tick the relevant box at the end of the survey and provide contact details.

Cllr Lottie Parfitt-Reid, MBC Lead Member for Communities and Public Engagement, said:

Thank you to everyone who has already completed the Resident Survey, we really appreciate you taking the time to do so. If you haven’t yet managed to get around to it, please make time, it should only take around 10 to 15 minutes. Maidstone is the County Town of Kent and your opinions will help shape the future of the borough.

The survey gives all residents the opportunity to tell the Council about their experiences of living in Maidstone; understanding what they need is key to the way in which MBC will deliver services and plan for the future.

Almost 3,000 people have already given their views on living in the borough to the Council which is a great response.  However, the survey needs to be representative of the whole of the local population and currently the figures of those who have taken part show people aged under 34 and those who are employed are underrepresented.

Lottie continues:

It’s important we hear from everyone. It doesn’t matter if you are new to the area or don’t pay Council Tax, we want your views. Help us improve the local area and the services we provide in ways that matter to you by telling us what you think.

MBC staff are attending local events across the borough with the survey, for a list of these and a link to complete the survey follow the link: https://LetsTalkMaidstone.uk.engagementhq.com/resident-survey-2022-2.
