Help shape the future of Maidstone by telling the council what you think about the County Town as part of the Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) resident survey which starts today Wednesday 6 July and runs until 4 September.

The survey gives all residents the opportunity to tell the Council about their experiences of living in Maidstone. From housing to health and well-being, waste and recycling to the cost-of-living crisis, resident’s viewpoints are extremely valuable and will help inform the decisions the Council makes.

Cllr Lottie Parfitt-Reid, MBC Lead Member for Communities and Public Engagement, said:

“This survey gives residents the perfect opportunity to let us know what they think about living in Maidstone. The current cost-of-living crisis is putting pressure on households across our communities along with the continued impact of the pandemic on our health and well-being. Understanding what our residents need is key to the way in which we deliver our services and plan for the future.

“It has questions about the way residents prefer to contact the council, how much people get involved in their community or voluntary groups as well as the local economy.”

Lottie continues:

“There is even an opportunity for every resident who completes the survey to enter into a prize draw with a selection of prizes ranging from a seven day gym pass to a meal voucher for the fantastic Love Food @ Lockmeadow.

“It’s important we hear from everyone, it doesn’t matter if you are new to the area or don’t pay council tax we want your views. Help us improve the local area and the services we provide in ways that matter to you by completing the survey.”

Every resident who completes the survey can enter into a prize draw to be in with a chance of winning a variety of prizes including:

*        £250 shopping vouchers

*       A night of escapism at ODEON Luxe Cinema and delicious deals at Love Food @ Lockmeadow

*       A thrilling family day out Mote Park Outdoor Adventure

*       A fun day out for all the family at Kent Life

Everyone who enters the prize draw is also eligible for a 7 day gym pass at Maidstone Leisure Centre, to participate tick the relevant box at the end of the survey and provide contact details. The survey is open to residents aged 18 or over.

MBC staff will be attending local events in the town centre and across the borough with the survey, for a list of these and a link to complete the survey follow the link: https://LetsTalkMaidstone.uk.engagementhq.com/resident-survey-2022-2.
