Visitors will be able to taste what’s on offer, talk to representatives from the Vegetarian Society and consider cutting down on meat consumption to save money and for a healthier lifestyle.
James Wilderspin, Biodiversity and Climate Change Manager at Maidstone Borough Council said:
“Eating veggie is one of the simplest things we can all do to reduce our own carbon footprints, even just one veggie day a week makes a difference. Vegetarian week is a great opportunity to try something new, set yourself a new challenge, save money, and make your lifestyle greener and healthier!”
Alexa Kersting-Woods, Leisure Property Manager is thrilled that Love Food @ Lockmeadow will be taking part, she said:
“As our new food court is proving so popular all stalls will be taking part in this vegetarian day and providing samples so customers can come along and try out a variety of different tasty food alternatives.”
