Anyone looking to progress their career or find their ideal job can do so with the help of Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) next week.

Maidstone Jobs Fair – organised by MBC and the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) is being held at The Mall (upper level opposite TJ Hughes) on Tuesday 18 October between 10am and 2pm where job hunters can get advice and help from industry experts including those from the construction, retail and hospitality sectors.

Talking about the Jobs Fair, Leader of the Council, Cllr David Burton said:

There are so many opportunities open to people who want to be based and work in Maidstone which is the business capital of Kent.

First hand-advice can be absolutely invaluable and this event is the perfect chance for people to talk to the experts face-to-face and find out what opportunities there are available to them.

MBC is delighted to be working with partners from such a wide range of industry sectors at this inaugural Jobs Fair which will lead the way for similar events in the future.

Industry Experts who will be on hand at the Maidstone Jobs Fair include representatives from:

  • McDonalds
  • DWP
  • TJ Hughes
  • TK Maxx
  • Iceland Foods
  • Leeds Castle
  • CPR
  • Chuks CafĂ©
  • Go Ape

A Thriving Place is one of the four priorities for Maidstone Borough Council and the Job Fair reflects that.
