Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre is hosting its first photographic exhibition on Saturday 9 September - 9.30am to 9pm thanks to Maidstone Camera Club.

Images as part of the annual exhibition of the Club which have been taken in and around Maidstone will be on display around the Love Food @ Lockmeadow for everyone to enjoy.

Maidstone Camera Club will have more than 100 prints on display and visitors can vote for their favourite. Members of the club will be at Lockmeadow on the day to answer any questions about photography and membership.

Cllr Claudine Russell, Cabinet Member for Communities, Leisure and Arts at Maidstone Borough Council said:

We welcomed the idea of hosting the annual exhibition of Maidstone Camera Club in LoveFood@Lockmeadow to make full use of the wonderful space, it will work really well as a gallery. The club is really excited about using Lockmeadow as a new venue and being able to showcase their work to a wide-ranging audience.

If any other clubs and groups would like to make use of the large, light space in the food court for a venue we would be very happy to discuss this with them.

Maidstone Camera Club currently has more than 70 members with interests and abilities including monochrome and colour printing, audio-visual and projected images. They hold weekly meetings from September to June for members with informative lectures, practical demonstrations and competitions.
