Live music is coming back to Brenchley Gardens this summer with another series of fabulous Bandstand concerts. Bring a picnic and a blanket or chair, sit back and enjoy some FREE live music in beautiful surroundings.

Starting on Saturday 8 July, the first concert will feature original, contemporary music from Wez King, Rowsie, Natalie Bouloudis and Estelle Mey.

There are two further Saturday concerts, on 5 August and 2 September, all starting at 1pm and finishing at 5pm, with bands including The Paper Castles, Til I’m Bones and Theatre Royal lined up to perform.

The concerts are funded by Maidstone Borough Council and are completely free to attend. Deckchairs will be available but are on a first come, first served basis.

Cllr Claudine Russell, Cabinet Member for Communities Leisure and Arts at Maidstone Borough Council said:

“We have been running these wonderful free summer weekend bandstand events for a number of years now, as one of our key objectives is to create a vibrant leisure and culture offer which is enjoyed by residents and visitors.

“This year, we’re delighted to be offering even more Sunday dates with six great bands to entertain you, including a group from the Netherlands. Book a date in your diary, why not tell your friends and family and make an afternoon of it.”

All the Sunday concerts start at 3pm and finish at 5pm, except for Pete’s Korner Band who will be starting at 2pm – 4pm.

Sunday dates and artists:

16 July – Jon Hamilton Big Band

30 July – Invicta Jazz Orchestra

13 August – BAE Systems Brass Band

20 August – Sevenoaks & Tonbridge Band

27 August - Pete’s Korner Band, Netherlands*
