Maidstone Museum are holding their annual Christmas Craft Market which will have stalls full of lovely gifts and goodies, great for something different. From local confectionary producers to unusual hand crafted gifts there will be items for all ages.

Across the river, Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre will also be holding a Local Producers Christmas Fair, where you can find beautiful unique items for Christmas made by local makers. There will also be a chance to get them wrapped at a Charity wrap station raising money for the Heart of Kent Hospice. Anyone is free to bring along their own items to be wrapped on the day too, open 10am to 3pm.

Cllr Claudine Russell, Cabinet Member at Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) for Communities, Leisure and Arts said:

“These wonderful festive markets are just a short walk from each other and are both offering unique homemade items for sale in different settings. So why not make a day of it and visit them both on Saturday 9 Dec for a truly Christmassy day.”

One of MBC’s priorities is that Maidstone is a Thriving Place and the events being planned at Maidstone Museum and Lockmeadow support this.

Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) became the landlord of Lockmeadow in 2019 when it bought out the long leasehold interest of the complex. Find out about Lockmeadow events on the website: https://lockmeadowentertainment.co.uk/
