Enjoy a real mix of performances with everything from live music, choirs, a young piano playing superstar, dance and some hilarious clown comedy. There will also be hula hoop workshops, creative workshops, food and drink stalls and a mini artisan market.
The magnificent Whatman Park Riverstage will provide the backdrop for the springtime afternoon of entertainment. Organised by two experienced, local event managers on behalf of Maidstone Borough Council.
Zoë Sparkle, from Harmony Maidstone has helped to organise the event, she said:
“It's a pleasure and a privilege to be showcasing some local homegrown talent in this gorgeous location. We hope to see families out with their picnics to soak up the sun and enjoy the wonderful creative acts on the stage at the first Whatman Park ‘Maytime Medley’.”
Refreshments will be available to buy in the park and everyone is encouraged to bring a picnic and a blanket or chairs to the beautiful natural amphitheatre space, right next to the River Medway. Dog friendly and wheelchair and buggy accessible, this is a fun afternoon for the whole family.
