Opening this weekend - Sunday, 24 November, the biggest post box in Kent, is back. This festive feature has been delighting families since 2021, and has received nearly 2,000 letters from children eager to reach Santa Claus at the North Pole. This year, Santa’s iconic red post box is back with some extra-special company, bringing with him two “roarsome” Dino helpers: Santasaurus and Elfasaurus!
The Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr John Perry, who will be launching the event said:
I am delighted to see Santa’s Giant Post Box back at Lockmeadow again this year. It brings such joy to children and families and has become part of the festivities in Maidstone over the past few years.
Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre is owned and run by Maidstone Borough Council, and facilitates events for all the family, including the giant post box opening on Sunday 24 November with Santa there for a quick visit in the morning and then later in the afternoon to collect the first batch of letters before the choir begins.
