It’s time to dig out your rah-rah skirts, dust off your fluorescent leggings, back comb that hair and get footloose for some banging tunes at the 80’s Disco which kicks off on Saturday 23 November, 7.30pm – 11.00pm.
DJ Debbie will be hitting the decks playing everything from Wham! to Madonna, Gloria Gaynor and Michael Jackson – you’d be mad to miss it.
The event promises to be fun and is being held following on from the hugely successful Museum’s trip back in time ‘I grew up in the 80s’ exhibition which was a lovingly curated time capsule showcasing the youthful exuberance of the much-loved decade.
MBC Cabinet Member for Healthier Stronger Communities, Cllr Stephen Thompson said:
“Maidstone Museum is a fantastic place to visit and hosts so many different exhibitions and events including this 80’s Disco.“The Council is very proud to be able to offer our residents and visitors such a range of things to see and do when they come to the County Town of Kent and this is another great example of what we do.”
The 80’s Disco is a ticketed event (£15 per person), is open to over 18’s and there will be a limited payable bar available on the night.
