News Visit the Maidstone Eco Hub 2024
Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) is opening the doors to the 2024 Eco Hub later this month.
Located in The Mall shopping centre, Maidstone’s Eco Hub will be open from Saturday 26 October to 9 November, and everyone is invited to drop in for advice and help them become more sustainable.
Now in its third year, the pop-up community information centre will support people to live more sustainably, save money and reduce their carbon footprint. It will be open in an empty unit on the lower ground level of The Mall, near to the B&M store.
The Hub will hold fun family activities, interesting talks and competitions. There will be children's craft workshops, information on money saving grants, an art competition, recycling and energy saving advice, a freecycle swap shop, active travel advice and much more.
Feedback from the two previous hubs hosted by MBC, showed they had a really positive impact, with the majority of visitors saying they learnt something about their environmental impact leading to positive changes as a result.

Following the success of the Eco Hub we held we are pleased to announce that we’ve been lucky enough to secure another unit in The Mall shopping centre.Through hosting similar projects in the past two years we discovered just how much people want to learn more about how they can become more sustainable and reduce their carbon footprint. The Maidstone Eco Hub will be able to do exactly that and the Council is delighted to be able host the project once again.
MBC is also looking for local volunteers to help in the Eco Hub and would like to invite who is passionate about climate change get in touch.
