Maidstone Museum is inviting everyone along to an evening of dancing and grooving at a Soul Disco with DJ Debora V and Matt B on Saturday 5 April 7.30pm to 11pm.

The evening promises to be great fun and follows on from the hugely successful 1980’s disco last year which saw crowds of enthusiastic visitors dance as if nobody was watching when they joined DJ Debora V for an evening of 80’s dance and retro hits.

With hits from Marvin Gaye, Jackson 5, Aretha Franklin, James Brown and Gloria Jones, party goers will to be dancing and grooving all night long.

‘The Soul Intention’ Disco is a ticketed event (£15 per person) and is open to over 18’s with a limited payable bar provided by ‘Craft Brewed’ available on the night.

Maidstone’s museums are owned and run by Maidstone Borough Council (MBC).

Cllr Stephen Thompson, Cabinet Member for Healthier, Stronger Communities at MBC said:

“The 1980’s disco was a great night out.  Holding it in such a historic building really added to the party atmosphere. The Council is very proud to be able to offer our residents and visitors such a range of things to see and do when they come to the County Town of Kent, and this is another great example of what is on offer.”

“Maidstone Museum is a fantastic place to visit and hosts so many different exhibitions and events including this Soul Disco.”

As well as being one of the most beautiful historic buildings in the town centre, Maidstone Museum has many areas and rooms that can be booked for private hire.  It is an ideal venue to host corporate meetings, private events and even children’s birthday parties. The facilities are perfect for businesses and individuals alike and the experienced team at the Museum can provide everything needed to ensure that events run smoothly.

The 80’s Disco is a ticketed event (£15 per person), open to over 18’s and includes a limited payable bar available on the night.
