Maidstone Museum reopened for 2024 yesterday, Wednesday 7 February, with a fascinating exhibition and events in time for the schools’ half term break next week.
Maidstone came to life on Saturday 3 February, as hundreds of people flocked to the town and celebrated Lunar New Year 2024.
Maidstone’s Heart of Kent Walking Festival is back again this year and booking is now open. Taking place between Friday 15 to Sunday 24 March. The festival is run by a collaboration of organisations, led by Visit Maidstone from Maidstone Borough Council (MBC).
A tiny bone needle, which was last used around 8,000 years ago during the middle stone age, will be featured in the new archaeology gallery ‘Lives in our landscape’ at Maidstone Museum when it opens early summer 2024.
