Community organisations in rural areas are being encouraged to apply for a share of £404,796 as part of the second phase of the government’s Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) which is part of the Levelling Up agenda.

The Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Gordon Newton, has met with some of the winners of the Maidstone Scarecrow Festival competition. The Festival was held over the autumn half term and saw more than 20 scarecrows on display around the town centre. They were made by a variety of schools and community groups with the theme of ‘musical legends’.
Everyone is being encouraged to take part in a Peter Pan themed Christmas Trail organised by One Maidstone and supported by Maidstone Borough Council and The Hazlitt Theatre.
