Plans for a food forest in Allington, which will adopt the pioneering Japanese 'Miyawaki method', have been announced by Maidstone Borough Council's Parks and Open Spaces Team.
Maidstone Borough Council has announced that the Parkwood and Senacre areas of the borough have been selected as one of just 25 trailblazer neighbourhoods across the UK to receive significant long-term investment as part of a new government fund.
Maidstone Borough Council is inviting tenders from market operators and individuals to run a vibrant new food market in the Town Centre.
A grant from the Chewing Gum Task Force, administered by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, will help Maidstone Borough Council clean up gum and reduce gum littering.
