Following the Government announcement that all shops can reopen from 15 June, Maidstone Borough Council and One Maidstone are working closely with Kent County Council and Kent Police to make this happen as safely as possible.
Shoppers are being invited to return to the Maidstone Market at Lockmeadow to support local producers when it reopens this Saturday 13 June.
Essential work starts today, 8 June, to improve the sluice gates, boat house, spillway, dam and area around the Mote Park lake to safeguard the park and surrounding areas from flooding.
There are now only six days left for charities and small businesses to apply for a one off non-repayable cash grant from Maidstone Borough Council which closes on Monday 8 June.
